Minimalist Fashion

I enjoy minimalism. It's clean precise and to the point. I have found that the majority of minimalist designs are full of gray tones, which can feel so dead. Minimalism doesn't have to be all gray though. It can be colorful and full of life. The main rules to follow is balance. Wear a bold pieces but insure that its the one bold piece to stand out on its own. No need to clutter it with a million other patterns and colors. Minimalism allows the eye to fully take in the color tones, shapes and textures without being over whelmed. It's beauty in the simplicity of lines and color.

Minimalist fashion can vary so widely but to me it's one that fallows the lines and use of bold colors and structured shape. Its the use of positive and negative space.  It's simple clean and precise. Really a breath of fresh air. Just try not to get caught up in the gray hew trap and understand that Minimalism can be colorful.
Amanda Brooks says it well in her book I love your Style saying, "Minimalism is not about abandoning pattern or print...It's an indulgence in superbly executed cute, quiet plays of color and tones and clean strong shapes."(Brooks, 113)

Comic Book Fashion

The grittiness of comic book fashion is alluring. The badass attitude that adorns the character along with there no fucks given attire. It all fits into the character and I can appreciate how long it must take to not only design a character but also design clothing to fit the character. I have attached some of my favorite attires below. Most of the outfits I like tend to be from a dystopian futuristic comics. Enjoy!

 Transmetropolitan

 DMZ

And of course Tank Girl

Mind you I love the art work of many comics these are just the ones that I really like the fashion. I wish I could put more but sadly my comic collection isn't quite as extensive as I would like. If you have any suggestions for good reads or awesome costumes let me know.

I can not remember where the pants are from. I do however remember that the price made my eyes bulge out. I'm sure you can find simular pants for much much cheaper.
Most items I post you can hunt around and find cheaper versions. I just post the ones I like without looking at price. I'm not buying the stuff just matching it together and pretending like I am rolling in a bed of money.

Tomboy fashion

I love when the perfect mix between tomboy and feminine is reached. I found a few sites which demonstrate this union beautifully. One is this blog which I would advise everyone to check out http://www.tomboystyle.blogspot.com/.
Another great blog for tomboy fashion is http://wearingthepants.tumblr.com/. (Pic below)

The glasses in the top picture make me wish I needed glasses. Damn you 20/20 vision. I remember as a little girl I loved glasses so I would always try and cheat in the eye exame. I would start to feel guilty about cheating and let the doctor know I was lying. I was easily guilted as a child.

Diane Keaton in Annie hall is a good example of the tomboy fashion.
I like the boyfriend fit slacks along with the long oversized mens dress shirt. It looks best if the dress shirt is tailored in a bit so as to not appear frumpy. Also the cardigan or blazer work nicely. Try mixing and matching the larger tops with skinny bottoms, such as skinny jeans, and the larger bottoms with more from fitting tops. Some can pull off wearing a large top and bottom but usually it comes off looking frumpy unless you are really tiny.

Hair Everywhere

I have shoulder length whitish/blonde hair right now and I am trying my best to leave it alone. I really want to cut it because I love short hair. I also love really long hair. I'm talking down to your ass long. I have had short hair multiple times so I thought I would let it grow out really long. Trouble is I feel really bored when my hair is medium length. I like to be on the extreme ends of hair not just dabbing in the middle. Well in my search for hair decision I ran across these three pics of hair.

I love the multiple colors. It makes me want to do it. Ugh but getting my hair to the white shade it is now was a huge pain and more pricey then I was expecting. I have to have priorities on my spending and I choose tea over hair.

Fashion in the East

I have long been a lurker of Japanese street web pages where photos of Japanese locals are displayed for there fashion. Sense I was about 16 I have looked at one web page called japanesestreets.com. This last year I found another site called http://www.style-arena.jp/

That's all for now. Check out the web pages above if you would like to see much more.
